My Son

As Summer has come to an end in this household, not all the way the weather is still hot here. Today marks the beginning of 8th grade for my son Dylan. 

This little guy is no longer a little guy anymore he is officially a teenager. 

I would love to say where has the time gone but we all know children grow up and are no longer your babies anymore. As i sit here with tears in my eyes thinking about where our life is going next. It breaks my heart that he is growing up so fast.......

Things We Have Done This Summer So Far.....

Well its already the end of July, this Summer has flown bye. We took our Vintage 58 Shasta canned ham trailer out for her first camping trip in June. To Camp land on the Bay in San Diego. Of course we had to redecorate her for her first camping trip. Bye Bye Bella Notte Bedding Hello Pottery Barn peace quilt.

Our theme was beach cottage 

Added some shell curtains

Yum who doesn't love lemonade in the Summertime

Even brought some stragglers along for the ride

We even ate at Hodad's in Ocean Beach. They had the best burgers and shakes.

The Vintage Marketplace @ The Oaks Weekend

I was supposed to blog about The Vintage Marketplace at the beginning of the week not the end. I just haven't felt too inspired lately to write. I guess you could say i have so much on my mind that blogging is not my top priority. Anyways we had a blast last weekend at The Vintage Marketplace in Rainbow, CA . It was a really good show as always Christie & Rita do their best. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful in the park like setting held at The Oaks. The girls that come together every three months are like family now. We all pulled together and tryed our best to make our little traveling booths look amazing. In that note we really concentrated on making our 58' Vintage Shasta trailer look like a traveling cottage boudoir with the help, construction and design of Jennie & Shawn Olsen from Rustic Chic  http://jennierusticchic.blogspot.com/   they helped put our vision in it. It came together fabulous. Check out their blog for more pictures on the design and to contact them on designing your vision of canned ham dreaminess.

Here she is the 58' Vintage Shasta Canned Ham. She made her Debut run at The Vintage Marketplace all the hard work paid off . The little trailer was a hit.

Junk, Junk & More Junk

This Past Saturday i made a trip to Treasures n Junk and dropped off some new treasures. 

I am in love with this beach blue color i have been painting furniture in. It reminds me of a Cape Cod house on the East coast. Just Imagine Laying on the beach with the grass blowing behind you reading a juicy romance novel. There goes my dreamer a.d.d. again.

I found these wire baskets last week. They would make good Laundry baskets with a cute liner sewn on them

This chippy piece was a bright green we painted it pink because who doesn't love pink. Wouldn't it make a great piece over a bed. You could add Crystal sconces on the sides . Its just dripping with romance.

Sunshine & Happy Times

We did the Behind the Picket Fence Vintage Marketplace this past weekend in Huntington Beach this past Saturday. Wow was the weather beautiful and it was warm. Growing up by the beach i absolutely LOVE the weather there.Considering i lived at the beach all summer growing up. One day i will live back in my hometown for now I'm a dreamer as my son says. I guess I'm allowed to dream in this world. 

  Since this was a 1 day show its hard not to go all out like our other 2 day shows but here are some photos of our booth. My camera has been taking horrible pictures time for a new one.

Behind The Picket Fence Show Tomorrow

Our Next Show is Tomorrow Saturday April 30, 2011  9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. Behind The Picket Fence Vintage & Handmade Marketplace @ Old World Village in Huntington Beach, CA over 60 vendors will be there including Vintage, Handmade, Food & Wine Tasting .
