Its that time again the annual 3 month extravaganza of The Vintage Marketplace.

Wow these months are just flying by. This is the last one for 2011. We will be setting up our booth today , unfortunately due to the high winds in Southern California we will not be bringing our Vintage Shasta Trailer. We do not want to be the Two Windy Roses. We will be bringing lots of Christmas handmade goodies.

My Son

As Summer has come to an end in this household, not all the way the weather is still hot here. Today marks the beginning of 8th grade for my son Dylan.

This little guy is no longer a little guy anymore he is officially a teenager.

I would love to say where has the time gone but we all know children grow up and are no longer your babies anymore. As i sit here with tears in my eyes thinking about where our life is going next. It breaks my heart that he is growing up so fast.......

Things We Have Done This Summer So Far.....

Well its already the end of July, this Summer has flown bye. We took our Vintage 58 Shasta canned ham trailer out for her first camping trip in June. To Camp land on the Bay in San Diego. Of course we had to redecorate her for her first camping trip. Bye Bye Bella Notte Bedding Hello Pottery Barn peace quilt.

The Vintage Marketplace @ The Oaks Weekend

I was supposed to blog about The Vintage Marketplace at the beginning of the week not the end. I just haven't felt too inspired lately to write. I guess you could say i have so much on my mind that blogging is not my top priority. Anyways we had a blast last weekend at The Vintage Marketplace in Rainbow, CA . It was a really good show as always Christie & Rita do their best. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful in the park like setting held at The Oaks. The girls that come together every three months are like family now. We all pulled together and tryed our best to make our little traveling booths look amazing. In that note we really concentrated on making our 58' Vintage Shasta trailer look like a traveling cottage boudoir with the help, construction and design of Jennie & Shawn Olsen from Rustic Chic http://jennierusticchic.blogspot.com/ they helped put our vision in it. It came together fabulous. Check out their blog for more pictures on the design and to contact them on designing your vision of canned ham dreaminess.

Here she is the 58' Vintage Shasta Canned Ham. She made her Debut run at The Vintage Marketplace all the hard work paid off . The little trailer was a hit.

This Past Saturday i made a trip to Treasures n Junk and dropped off some new treasures.

I am in love with this beach blue color i have been painting furniture in. It reminds me of a Cape Cod house on the East coast. Just Imagine Laying on the beach with the grass blowing behind you reading a juicy romance novel. There goes my dreamer a.d.d. again.

I found these wire baskets last week. They would make good Laundry baskets with a cute liner sewn on them

We did the Behind the Picket Fence Vintage Marketplace this past weekend in Huntington Beach this past Saturday. Wow was the weather beautiful and it was warm. Growing up by the beach i absolutely LOVE the weather there.Considering i lived at the beach all summer growing up. One day i will live back in my hometown for now I'm a dreamer as my son says. I guess I'm allowed to dream in this world.

Since this was a 1 day show its hard not to go all out like our other 2 day shows but here are some photos of our booth. My camera has been taking horrible pictures time for a new one.

What a beautiful weekend it was at Chateau De Fleur's this past weekend. The sun was shinning, the birds were chirping and the atmosphere was radiant.It was perfect weather for a vintage marketplace. Country Roads Sneek Peek

Here's a little sneak peek on our new space in Country Roads. We dropped off 2 loads this week and one more will be tomorrow for the Big Presidents Day Sale this weekend. We are Space 425 in the far right room next to Paris to the Moon and across from Cottage White.

The dealers were really loading up their spaces today. I will post more pictures tomorrow after its fully loaded.

Can you believe its already the middle of February? I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day.
This past couple of weeks have just flown by. We have been busy with Life and like the old saying says:

My sister was in the hospital all last week. She has Chrohn"s Disease www.ccfa.org She has had it since she was 9 years old. She is 30 now. Its a very painful disease it comes and goes with stress. While my mom was at the hospital i was babysitting my niece. That kinda set us back in our new space a tad bit. But we will have it all the way done this week just in time for the Big Sale this weekend.

We are also getting ready for the rain. Doesn't this look fun jumping in Puddles? A good way to relieve stress of everyday Life. After we are done jumping and dancing in the rain we will be getting ready for our next show. Chateau De Fleur's in Fallbrook hosted by the talented Christie Repasy http://www.christierepasy.com/ & Rita Reade http://www.mammabellarte.blogspot.com/ . This show is March 4 & 5, 2011 9.a.m.- 5 p.m. If you haven't been you might want to clear your calenders now. This is a great show with over 20 vendors.

Some Exciting News..............

Happy Monday All!! Wow this weekend was a busy one, actually this whole month flew by. We are already going to be into February that means only 5 more weeks left till our big show Chateau De Fleurs then 2 weeks after that is Glitterfest. That means we are going to be super busy from here on out. We have some exciting news to share. HUmmm Maybe i should keep you all waiting. Since some of you already know. Listen to the John Denver song for a quick hint ;)... Get it ??? NOOO????? OK fine ill give you another hint.....

I found my new boyfriend this weekend. Isn't he great he doesn't talk back, he loves to move furniture & hes quite handsome. I think it was love at first sight. ;)

OK if you haven't gotten it yet i guess ill tell you our exciting news.

Yep that's right Two Wild Roses Antiques & Fancy Goods are now going to be located in Country Roads. This mother daughter team is heading back to our roots. We couldn't be more excited. We are really going all out in our space. If you have been to one of our stores in the past then you know our full potential and if not then you will see how talented we can be.

Yep this wonderful space is getting a fresh coat of paint tomorrow.

What a beautiful day it is today in Southern California. A perfect time to spend quality time with loved ones and get out and do something outdoors this weekend. For some reason i have roses and love on my mind. It must be all the Valentines Day stuff i keep seeing at all the stores. Last Spring i attended Chateau De Fleur's with my mother and sisters. I bought my first Christie Repasy painting. As most of you know I LOVE Color . Red, Leopard, Eclectic, Fun Funky stuff. The brighter the more fun. I'm not a pale pink kind of gal. Most girls love pink. If i had to choose a shade of pink I love hot pink. Red is my favorite color. I love deep shades of it. Red is a romantic color and reminds me of Love. Being in love and wanting love. I guess its been a while since i have been in love. A male friend keeps talking about love on his facebook everything he says is perfect. Why don't men talk about love? Finding love? Being in love? The society of today has ruined love and what is expected in relationships. What happened to this society? Finding love and keeping it is very difficult these days. So if you have it don't let it go. Also men please be a man and buy your girlfriends, wife's lovers, flowers and cards just because. Sometimes women just need them to feel appreciated.

Since i am not in love. I have other things i do love. I love my son Dylan, my family, my feathered friends, my shows i do, antiques, red roses, fabric, my teddy bears, sewing, fashion, the beach and many other things. I thought i would share some of my things i do love to you all.

A quickey Post on 5 Charms Class

This past Saturday i took Rita's & Lisa's 5 Charm Class from www.mammabellarte.blogspot.com and www.lisaloria.blogspot.com . My mom and sister took it back in December. I was sick so i was doing a makeup class. We had a lot of fun making the charms. My camera's battery wasn't working so i took some pictures on my iPhone.

Refreshing the Mind and Body

The past couple of weeks i have been busy trying new things and meeting new people. Our good friend Mary from Bella Visage Salon in Redlands,Ca has decided to hold Yoga classes at her salon on Tuesday and Thursday Nights. Lauren from Source Studio is so kind to drive out and teach us Yoga. My son has even been going with us. It has been super refreshing for the mind and body.

Last week on Tuesday we tryed Zumba fitness it was so much fun Xaviera from Source Studio in Riverside came out to teach the class. I feel in love with it so i decided to try a R.I.P.P.E.D. class at their brand new studio in Riverside. Lauren is one of the owners and she teaches Yoga and other classes. OK have to get back to Spring cleaning it has been a very nice weekend here in California 77 degrees. Sorry I had to brag about our nice sunny weather ;). This working out has given me a ton of energy to accomplish things i have been putting off including cleaning out my sewing room and start making some new things for our upcoming shows. Chateau De Fleur's is right around the corner so start saving some money.

Time to sit down and relax.... Have a cup of tea and reflect on this past weekends show. The artists arrived Thursday to start setting up. By the time Sunday hit everyone was excited, tired and ready to leave for home. We are had a great time with all our Feathered Friends. My sisters Stacey & Melissa were very helpful catering to every ones needs. My mother had her tooth pulled on Thursday, i thought she was crazy to still be doing this show. But she is a true trooper overcoming the obstacles to make our show the best for our vendors and customers.

Today was a beautiful day for our November show. The weather was warm but not too hot. The artists and antique dealers were amazing and the Food was oh soo good. Thanks Sister Stacey:). Oh and if you missed it today you still have a chance to come out to Redlands and shop tommorrow. We have over 15 vendors with all kinds of fun vintage goodies.

Today was the Loma Linda Parade. My son Dylan was in it and i have to say i was a pretty happy band mom

Oh Fall where are you??? We were finally starting to get cold and then all of a sudden its Hot again. I love the Summer heat but after awhile i cant wait for Fall to hit. I even went and bought new uggs to keep my feet warm for one night. Back to flip flops and shorts for a while longer . Might as well enjoy it before the freezing cold of winter comes along. Gotta love So Cal weather.

Our booth at the Fall Glitterfest was feeling very Fall ish. All though the heat and humidity were horrible that day. We still managed to make it a fabulous day.

We had so much fun besides the 5 trips my mom made out there to drop her treasures off. It was very Fun and sooo many great vendors selling their wares. Sunday Bling Baby Class with Lisa Loria

This last Sunday we hopped in the car and drove down to Rainbow, CA. Our car was filled with lots of goodies for creating our Bling Baby's with Lisa Loria

Miss Rita let Lisa teach her class out of her studio there. It was a hot day but we sure enjoyed it this class and it was very relaxing and fun.

We had so much fun creating our bling babies. My Mom Lori took hers to a totally different level of bling. Lisa was quite amazed at how creative she was. I knew after the many years of my mom making stuff and selling it at boutiques when i was little. Working in different antique stores over the years. Back to the days when she worked at DnJ Dolls n Bears in Huntington Beach.The countless displays she has created in our stores. She always trys to take our display one level different at the shows we do. She is a natural at creating an amazing doll. She was definitely meant to create. To this i hope it gave her enough inspiration to start creating. She is a very talented woman and very creative. I am blessed to get that gene from her. Here is her Boudoir Bling Doll

Oh what a beautiful and hot morning it is as we are sipping on our coffee on the porch looking out on the beautiful rose garden out front. We decided to cut some of the fresh roses for the kitchen and display them in some of the victorian china my mom has collected over the years. I just love the way roses look in old rose china it is so romantic and charming.

This week we decided to go to a Fabric store out of the area , on the way back we stop at the Good Ole Good Will. Look at the find i found for my room.

Satrurday we had a Yard Sale with our good friend Lisa came to sell. We took the remanding junk to Old Glory to our spac in Riverside. My Mom had a cute lamp in there and finally figured out how to add a shade to it so she decided to pull it out and add a Lampshade she had for her Bordello room she is redoing downstairs.

Look at how Adorable she makes it with a touch of a Vintage raspberrie flower. She loves Color too. Raspberry is her choice while Red is mine.

As they are redoing her room we decided to pull the last of the aweful yellow wallpaper in the Parlor next to the new Bordello bedroom . Look what we found...

What a find we found Some really cool vintage wallpaper. We carefully pulled off some more.

How fabulous is this? Another project to finish before November.

Last Nights show at Vintage Flair was a Blast!! My Red vintage MOhair coat was a hit and kept me very warm in the chilly air. I forgot to take photos :( ... Oh well next time.

Hello My name is Jamie Martin. Im new to all this blogging. So if it doesnt look too right is because im finally figuring it out,lol. Some of you might know me and my mother Lori Martin we have had several antique stores in the Beaumont, Banning and Yucaipa area. Right now we are just doing shows and slowly getting my website up. Or i should say im getting the website up,lol. I have been in the antique business for the last 9 years and loving every moment of it. I really miss having a store but with the way the economy is right now its better to just do shows and sell on the side.

What have i been doing these past 2 years since we closed down our store Two Wild Roses in Banning, Ca. Being mom and being and aunt. I have also been desiging Teddy bears which i have been loving.Also designing cute romantic vintage decor and clothing. I have a studio/ shop in the garage with my mother on her property. We are in Redlands in an old victorian house. Trying to get everything perfect to have a show on our property soon.
